Salam Alikoum sisters. i hope you all had a great eid celebration

i havent logged on for quite a while and when i recieved your post i thought i had better log on and send you all an update. i am not sure if i am that athiest you spoke of? in my last post i did say that i was an athiest but alot has happened since then.
i have finally realised that there IS a creator of us all and how blind i have been over the last few years to the wonders that he has created. i wont say that i have started praying yet or even that i have found a religion but i think i have come a long way in a short time,to believe in god.
i will be truthfull to you and say that i do admire you all for having the commitment to Allah and following the path of Islam but i am struggling which path to follow.
i am English and have been bought up by the traditional english way of church only for weddings and funerals etc so that is the only time i have ever visited a 'place of worship' but after realising that christians think that jesus was the 'son' of god and that the bible isnt just gods word but has things in it which people have added and that it has several different versions then i do find it difficult to follow that path.
on the other hand,at the moment,i look at islam and think it is a very truthful religion but very restricting aswell(from the 'normal' english life) and i am not sure that i will have the commitment and will power to be a good muslim.
my husband(who is a practising muslim)has told me to take my shahada and the rest will come naturally and with time but i dont want to do that if i am not sure which path to follow. i do believe in god and i do believe that mohamed was his messenger but what if i say it and then let myself and Allah down?
i also have pressure from friends and family as they have seen the change in my husband and keep saying to me that they hope i dont become the same.they dont mean this in a bad way but he is alot more serious about life and religion than they are used to.my husband started to pray etc a few months ago but before that he also lived the typical 'english' way, even though he was born in a muslim country.the friends and family see a very different person to the one he used to be.

if anyone could offer any advice then i would be grateful

best wishes
lozzin

you and am soo happy to put your trust on us and give us your updats

truth .

frist of all a million af congratulations of this wonderful step and am
sure that you will be a good person in this life if you carry on in
what you are doing believe me love .
well as you said you did a long way in a short time and this is amazing
for a person like you i mean you were an athiest and now you started to
know the truth and did your best to know more and this is an amaizing
thing .
dear about praying and donig worship sister look and hear me ALLAH when
he sent the prophet mohamed P.B.U.H he did`t start by praying and doing
worship NO the messenger of god started to tell people that there is no
god but ALLAH and he stayed doing this 13 years i mean 13 year of
asking people to belive in allah . so all you have to do is that step
you did (beliveing in allah ) and this is a huge step .
so from now start to think and look around you and try to Deepen the love of God in your heart and thats it.
so when you feel that you are strong enough to choose a religion then start .

dear love and i will be truthfull with you to tell you that am proud of
you and proud of what you are doing and that struggl to choose which
religion you follow and am sure that allah will guid and he will never
forget you.

in these words you said you proved that allah did`t forget you and he
showed you the right sis look!! jesus as you said he is`t the son of
god but we muslims loves him because he is a prophet and we muslims
love all prophets and respect them because they all call for one thing
(beliving in allah).
and as you said you did`t find the truth in the church but we muslims
go to the mosgue every day five times a day of course only for men. and
that sounds that we are always with allah woshiping him .

am happy to hear that from you i mean the word (i look at islam and
think it is a very truthful religion) yeah you are right and the Proof
is quran you find in it every thing you want even the things which till
now did`t happen yet and quran is directly from allah no one has
changed any word in it

ok dear about the (restricting) you said i dont think its right look
sis if saw those who complecat their life in the name of islam i mean
islam is an open religion i mean its very easy but of course with
holding in what allah says
sister i was born in nottingham like you and i met many english people
who cverted islam but they saw it is bit hard because they did`t take
it by ease they start islam by this is forbidden and this is not i
should just pray i have to worship allah all the day
the truth is no you can live you life styl as you want pray five times
aday read a page of quran watch tv go out laugh and enjoy your life
with an islamic view i swer that i have never saw an easy religion such
islam not becaus am a muslim but because allah said do this and if you
can`t you can do this so i thing you should take islam from the right
source .
so those i told you about them i mean the english sisters we started to
help them and show them islam from the right source masha`allah now
they are living a happy life with their non-muslim family also their
family wants to learn islam because they saw a huge diffrent to the
better from the new muslims mashaallah

sis as i told you befor don`t say the shahada till you feel that you can and you have a full belife in allah and islam
and don`t worry am sure that you will never let your self and allah down because you have a good heart and allah is with you

aaaah now this is a bit hard issue i think that your husband needs some
advice from a good muslim i don`t mean that your husband is wrong but i
mean that he should go to a good scholer or i would give you an e-mail
for Dr.tareq alsuwaidan who will help him to know islam as an easy way
he should be simple and not very seriouse i mean he can go eith you to
your family have a nice time and enjoy his time and of course as i said
befor with respecting the prencipls of islam
as i told you i will give you an e-mail for Dr.tareq who will help you
and your husband he is an good muslim scholar he looks to islam as an
easy religion and he can help you insha`allah
