We have taller buildings, but shorter tempers
لدينا مبان شاهقة ولكن لنا أمزجة حادة

Wider freeways, but narrower viewpoints
لدينا طرق سريعة واسعة ولكن لناافق ضيق

We spend more, but have less
نصرف الكثير, ولكننا نملك القليل

We buy more, but enjoy it less
نشتري الكثير, ولكن لا نستمتع إلا قليلا

We have bigger houses and smaller families
لدينا منازل أكبر وعائلات أصغر

More conveniences, but less time
نملك وسائل راحة أكثر,ولكن وقتا أقل

More knowledge, but less judgment
نملك المزيد من العلم , ولكن لا نحسن تقدير الأمور

More experts, but more problems
نملك خبراء أكثر, ولكن مشاكلنا تكثر

More medicine, but less wellness
لدينا المزيد من الأدوية ولكن الشفاء أقل

We drink too much, smoke too much, spend too recklessly
laugh too little, drive too fast, get too angry too quickly
stay up too late, get up too tired, read too little
نسرف في الشرب والتدخين والتبذير و نقتصد في الضحك
نسرع في القيادة و نغضب بسهولة وبسرعة,نسهر طويلا ونصحو متعبين ونقرأ قليلا

watch TV too much, and pray too seldom
نشاهد التلفاز كثيرا,ونصلي نادرا

We have multiplied our possessions, but reduced our values
ضاعفنا من مكاسبنا المادية, ولكننا انحدرت قيمنا ومبادئنا

We talk too much, love too seldom, and hate too often
نتكلم كثيرا جدا,و نحب نادرا جدا ونكره كثير جدا

We've learned how to make a living, but not a life
قد تعلمنا كيف نجد عملا ولكن لم نتعلم كيف نجد حياة

We've added years to life, not life to years
اضفنا مزيدا من السنوات لحياتنا ولم نضف حياة لسنواتنا

We've been all the way to the moon and back, but have trouble crossing the street to meet the new neighbor
قد سرنا كل تلك المسافة للقمر وعدنا, ولكننا نجد صعوبة في قطع الشارع للترحيب بالجار الجديد

We've conquered outer space, but not inner space
تغلبنا على الفراغ الخارجي,ولكن لم نهزم الفراغ الداخلي فينا

We've done larger things, but not better things
قمنا بأشياء أكبر,ولكن لم نقم بأمور أحسن

We've cleaned up the air, but polluted the soul
نظفنا الهواء ولوثنا الروح

We've split the atom, but not our prejudice
شطرنا الذرة ولم نفعل ذلك مع التحامل على الآخرين(بدون سبب)

We write more, but learn less
كتاباتنا أكثر وتعلمنا أقل

We plan more, but accomplish less
نخطط أكثر و ننجز أقل

We've learned to rush, but not to wait
تعلمنا الاستعجال ولم نتعلم التأني

We have higher incomes, but lower morals
يرتفع دخلنا المادي وتنخفض روحنا المعنوية

We have more food, but less appeasement
لدينا غذاء أكثر, ولكن شهيتنا أقل

We build more computers to hold more information to produce more copies than ever, but have less communication
صنعنا المزيد من الحواسيب لتخزين المزيد من المعلومات ولإنتاج المزيد من النسخ أكثر من أي وقت مضى, ولكن اصبح التواصل بينا أقل

We've become long on quantity, but short on quality
أًصبحنا أطول بالكم وأقصر بالكيف

These are the times of fast foods and slow digestion; tall men, and short character; steep profits, and shallow relationships
هذا زمن الوجبات السريعة و الهضم البطئ, زمن طوال القامة وضعيفوا الشخصية , زمن الإرباح العالية والعلاقات السطحية

These are the times of world peace, but domestic warfare; more leisure,but less fun; more kinds of food, but less nutrition
هذه زمن السلام العالمي و الصراعات الداخلية , زمن المزيد من الفراغ وقلة المتعة, زمن تعدد انواع الطعام وقلة المواد المغذية

These are days of two incomes, but more divorce; of fancier houses, but broken homes
هذه أيام وجود دخلين للعائلة ولكن المزيد من حالات الطلاق, زمن المنازل الأكثر فخامة ولكنها هشة من الداخل

These are days of quick trips, throw away
morality, overweight bodies, and pills that do everything from cheer,
to quiet, to kill
هذه أيام الرحلات السريعة, والفضيلة المهملة,الأجسام زائدة الوزن, و الحبوب
التي تفعل كل شي من السعادة مرورا بالهدوء ووصولا الى القتل

It is a time when there is much in the show
window and nothing in the stockroom; a time when technology can bring
this letter to you, and a time when you can choose either to make a
difference, or to just hit delete

نحن في وقت أمكن للتقنية الحديثة أن توصل لك هذه الرسالة , وفي وقت يمكنك فيه اختيار أن تقوم بتغيير حولك أو التجاهل
